posture and feeding of horse in organic agiculture

Breeding Horses in an appropritate and natural way means providing enough open spaces in the stables and big boxes. A typical horse family, consisting of mare, foal and stallion, should be on the paddocks. Thus old and young animals can coexist on the pastures in a harmonious way, ensuring the natural hierarchy amongst them – a completely natural course of the day. In summer horses are feed byeating fresh grass on the pastures and cereals. In winter they are feed with hay and cereals. The daily stroll on the paddocks both in summer and winter ensures enough exercise.

tradition: not ancient ashes but fire of the future

The old, traditional usage of the land, called biological agriculture, is gaining more and more importance. It ensures that the most important trace elements remain in the soil, thus transfering them to the fodder and consequently to the mare‘s milk. One of the secrets of the effects of mare‘s milk lies in the fodder, respectively in the fertilization of the paddocks, fields and meadows. Thus the nutrients taken from the soil that were used for the growth of grass return in great quality to the same pastures, fields and meadows. The precious compost that can be absorbed by plants is made of horse dung which ist processed specifically within a period of six months. Not only foals, but also humans benefit from this thoroughly cultivated circulation of nutrients.
